Description:

 

The fibers,  250μm, are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) locates in the center of core as a non-metallic strength member. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular core. After the cable core is filled with the filling compound to protect it from water ingress, the cable is completed with a PE sheath.

Description and Standards

The KT3011 GYFTY fiber optic cable is designed for ducted or aerial applications, featuring robust construction for durability and reliable performance. The fibers (250μm) are housed within loose tubes made of high-modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant compound to safeguard the fibers from moisture and external elements.

A Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) serves as the central non-metallic strength member, ensuring enhanced mechanical strength. The loose tubes and fillers are stranded around this central strength member to form a compact, circular cable core. The core is further filled with a protective filling compound to prevent water ingress. A polyethylene (PE) sheath completes the cable, offering additional environmental protection.

This cable complies with the standards YD/T 901-2001 and IEC 60794-1.
