MPO Polarity Connection Methods
Polarity A Connection
Polarity A MPO cables use a key up, key down design. Position 1 of one connector corresponds to position 1 of another connector with no polarity flip. Requires A-B duplex patch cables on one end and A-A duplex patch cables on the other end for proper signal transmission.
Polarity B Connection
Polarity B MTP cables use a key up, key up design. Position 1 of one connector corresponds to position 12 of another connector. Requires A-B duplex patch cables on both ends for proper polarity flip and signal transmission.
Polarity C Connection
Polarity C MPO cables use a key up, key down design with internal fiber cross configuration. Position 1 of one connector corresponds to position 2 of another connector. Requires A-B duplex patch cables on both ends for proper signal routing.
